About the Role
The Senior Reliability Engineer will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing reliability and asset management programs for mining operations. The successful candidate will apply Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles and conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on mining equipment and plant systems to improve asset performance and reliability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate RCM studies across multiple mining sites and client projects.
- Perform FMEA and root cause analysis for mobile and fixed mining equipment.
- Develop maintenance strategies and reliability improvement plans tailored to mining environments.
- Implement predictive maintenance programs and optimize preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor asset performance KPIs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance enhancement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—operations, maintenance, and engineering—to embed reliability culture and best practices.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and client recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Asset Management or Reliability Engineering, preferably in the mining sector.
- Certified or trained in RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) methodology.
- Proven experience conducting FMEA and implementing outcomes effectively.
- Working knowledge of condition monitoring, RCA, and asset integrity management tools.
- Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
