Job Summary:
The Fleet Support Specialist is an entry-level role designed to assist the Fleet Coordinator and Equipment Coordinator in their daily operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of our fleet and equipment. This position requires a candidate with a clean driving record, proficiency in using Google Maps and pin drops to locate destinations, and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Candidates must be self-starters who do not require constant direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Fleet Coordinator with routine vehicle inspections, maintenance scheduling, cleaning, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Support the Equipment Coordinator in tracking and managing the company's equipment inventory, checking in and out, and providing routine checks and updates.
- Use Google Maps and pin drops to locate destinations and accurately deliver equipment or vehicles as required.
- Follow detailed instructions to complete assigned tasks, ensuring all work meets company standards.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate records related to fleet and equipment management.
- Communicate effectively with team members, reporting any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Fleet Coordinator or Equipment Coordinator.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean and insurable driving record.
- Proficiency in using Google Maps, including pin drops, for navigation and location purposes.
- Proficient in using fleet software applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and equipment handling is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to drive for extended periods as required.
Work Environment:
- The role involves both office work and fieldwork, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
- Depending on operational needs, the candidate may be required to work occasional weekends or after-hours.
