As a Payroll Specialist, you'll ensure our Members' payroll operations run flawlessly on time, in compliance, and with precision. You'll manage payroll processing, tax filings, and employee data with accuracy, leveraging technology to deliver efficient and trusted payroll services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely payroll for Member organizations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records in HR and payroll systems, including pay rates, deductions, benefits, and tax information.
- Lead or support payroll audits, resolving discrepancies and identifying process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and manage payroll tax filings, deposits, and reconciliations.
- Partner with Members to understand their unique payroll needs and ensure a positive and compliant experience.
- Implement best practices and recommend updates to payroll processes and systems.
Who You are
- You have a minimum of 1+ year payroll management experience.
- You're familiar with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and also familiar with payroll systems such as Gusto, ADP, or Paychex.
- High School diploma required, degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
- You bring an understanding of payroll tax regulations, compliance standards, and accounting principles.
- You are analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at resolving discrepancies with professionalism and accuracy.
- You not only build rapport easily with clients, but you also maintain confidentiality with integrity, handling sensitive payroll data responsibly.
- You're a clear communicator, team-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.

Additional details
- This is a full-time exempt position
- The salary for this position is $40,000 to $45,000 depending on experience
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
