The Associate Material Planner will ensure manufacturing has necessary materials to execute the production schedule by ordering material to the line, managing inventory, coordinating with cross functional teams, and support aligning material availability with the schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ordering materials from the warehouse to the production floor in a timely manner
- Manage the quality inspection priority list
- Assist in coordination with suppliers where needed
- Manage purchase orders for responsible materials
- Work with vendors on VMI programs and Kanban quantities
- Oversee the workflow of the production facility
- Help to resolve SAP discrepancies and errors
- Inventory analytics and safety stock management
- Execute material movement transactions where necessary
- Analyze and foresee potential obstacles and devise proactive strategies to mitigate risk
- Communicate with planning, purchasing, and manufacturing regarding expedites, delays, or any impacts to the schedule
- Review and understand drawings, deviations, and quality alerts and the impact to the product and schedule
- Interface with manufacturing facility and other departments and maintain a good working relationship
- Actively promote company core values, vision, and mission
- Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
- Associate or bachelors degree in Business, Technical or Supply Chain or related field required experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 1+ years experience in purchasing and/or production scheduling for a manufacturing organization in an MRP environment, Strong understanding and experience with ERP/MRP systems required. (Oracle, SAP)
- Exceptional computer skills and speed; SAP experience preferred
- Applicable APICS CPIM, CSCP or CPSM certification
- Knowledge and experience with Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups), Power BI, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while working with changing priorities and competing demands
- Ability to effectively present information, data, recommendations to all organizational levels
The US national annual base salary for this role is $50,000-$65,000. The range includes the base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the of scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.
