Office Administrator

About the Role
Plastic Distributors & Fabricators (PFI), an Evantic Company, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented and customer-focused Office Administrator to support our daily office operations. This full-time, onsite role plays a key part in ensuring efficient administrative processes, accurate order entry, and a professional first point of contact for employees, visitors, and customers. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and skilled in communication and data entry within a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
•Open and close orders/jobs in Job Boss and ensure accuracy throughout order processing.
•Process customer sales orders and provide timely acknowledgements to customers.
•Verify and validate order information for accuracy and completeness.
•Perform front desk reception duties, including greeting visitors and managing check-in procedures.
•Answer, screen, and route incoming calls to the appropriate individuals.
•Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and correspondence.
•Maintain office supplies and ensure reception and conference areas are organized and professional.
•Support HR with scheduling interviews, onboarding new hires and temporary employees, and ensuring safety video completion.
•Support Finance with filing, recordkeeping, and administrative tasks.
•Assist with event planning and coordination as needed.
•Maintain both electronic and paper records in an organized and confidential manner.
•Generate reports and provide data entry and general administrative support as required.
•Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What You’ll Bring
•High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field preferred.
•2–5 years of experience providing administrative support in an office, customer service, or manufacturing environment required.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
•Excellent data entry accuracy, organizational, and multitasking skills.
•Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Professional demeanor including interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Work Environment
This position is performed primarily in an office setting with regular visits to the production area.
The role requires the ability to:
•Hear and speak to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
•Stand, stoop, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
•Use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and office equipment.
•Occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
When entering production areas, the employee may be exposed to moderate noise, machinery, and typical manufacturing conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
