MAT REGISTERED NURSE POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program within a correctional healthcare setting. In this critical role, you will provide evidence-based care and support for individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorders, ensuring safe and compliant administration of MAT medications and promoting recovery-focused care.
MAT REGISTERED NURSE SCHEDULE
MAT REGISTERED NURSE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Possesses an active CPR certification.
- Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
- Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.
MAT REGISTERED NURSE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Administer MAT medications (e.g., buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone) per provider orders and established protocols.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatment, withdrawal symptoms, and side effects.
- Conduct health assessments and contribute to individualized treatment planning.
- Collaborate with medical providers, mental health staff, and correctional officers to ensure safe, coordinated care.
- Educate patients on medication, recovery, and overall wellness.
- Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Uphold infection control, medication security, and safety procedures at all times.
