Our reputation was built on having long-term staff who provide excellent customer service, having a well-stocked inventory of parts, sales, and rental equipment, and by hiring those who are friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and who enjoy working as part of a team.We are currently looking to add Journeyman Small Engine Mechanic/Outdoor Power Equipment Technician to our Grande Prairie Head Office shop.As the Small Engine Mechanic/Outdoor Power Equipment Technician, you are responsible for:- Complete small engine work orders accurately and timely
- Complete equipment troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs
- Perform service work as required (cleaning, lubricating, etc.)
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance
- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
- Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
- Document work performed in detailed, readable, and accurate manner per Rentco procedures
You have the following education, training, and skills:- Journeyman Small Engine Mechanic/Outdoor Power Equipment Technician certification
- Class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract and the ability to travel to off-site locations
- Experience working on small tampers, generators, and water pumps
- Ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure
- Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing proper PPE
