Position Title: Senior Manager Supply Chain

Description: New Tech Global is seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain for a client located in Carlsbad, NM. This is a direct hire opportunity.
This role manages and oversees Supply Chain centralized functions, including Inventory Planning, Purchasing, and Information Systems / Analysis. Interacts with internal customers and upper management to ensure that all requirements are being met.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
Inventory Planning
- Supports establishing inventory levels by studying usage patterns and forecasts and material availability and supports setting reorder points in partnership with operations personnel.
- Manages right sizing of company planned inventory levels and leads initiatives related to optimizing total planned inventory.
- Manages the publication of key departmental metrics for inventory planning and replenishment with staff and management.
Purchasing
- Manages the Purchasing function to procure planned inventory. Holds purchasing personnel accountable for performance, including on-time delivery, open PO backlog, blocked invoice backlog, and quality and productivity metrics.
- Develops and presents reports that are metric/data driven and relate evidence of key metrics along with actions taken based on data collected.
- Evaluates suppliers on the basis of price compliance, quality, service, and timeliness. Evaluates and communicates performance issues to suppliers, identifies areas for improvement and follows-up with corrective actions.
- Works with the Strategic Sourcing team to identify new sources of supply, execute sourcing initiatives, and implement new suppliers.
Information Systems & Analysis
- Manages the analytical support for all supply chain initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Manages Item Master activities, including data structure, technology, and maintenance practices.
- Manages Supplier Catalog data. Works with suppliers and the Strategic Sourcing team to obtain updated prices lists and parts data. Works with Sourcing and Operations to determine appropriate Sourcing Rules.
- Develops reporting tools and processes to support all Supply Chain functions.
- Manages the maintenance and continuous improvement of supporting systems, including Oracle EBS, Oracle PDH, and Gains Planning software.

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Inventory Management, Procurement processes and systems and MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
Minimum Education and Certification:
- Four-year degree in a business-related field.
Minimum Experience:
- Typically at least 10 years of related experience in inventory planning, procurement, and/or warehousing with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing costs and budgets.
