Director, Pediatric Surgical Specialty Program
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides comprehensive administrative direction, strategic planning, accreditation support, and business development for the University Health Pediatric Surgical Specialty Program. Plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of pediatric surgical services including clinical operations, market development initiatives, care improvement and expansion initiatives.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field is required. A minimum of 5 years progressive management/supervisory experience in healthcare operations with at least 3 years of experience in pediatric clinical services or surgical services. Experience in both clinical operations and business development preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice, as a registered nurse is preferred but not required for non-nursing degree holders. Healthcare management certification preferred but not required.
