The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Support Assistant to assist our Project Manager in preparing and maintaining accurate product specification sheets. The role will require technical writing, data entry, and strong communication skills. A background or education in food science is highly valued, as the position involves working with terminology and details that benefit from scientific familiarity.
The Assistant will collaborate daily with the Project Manager and work closely with Production, Sales, R&D, and clients to ensure that all specification sheets are accurate, consistent, and approved. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with detailed documentation, cross-functional coordination, and contributing to high-quality nutraceutical product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and finalize product specification sheets with accuracy and clarity.
- Apply food science knowledge to interpret, enter, and validate ingredient, formula, and packaging information.
- Communicate with internal teams (Project Management, Production, Sales, R&D) and clients to gather approvals and clarifications.
- Conduct light research, calculations, and referencing to ensure specifications meet requirements.
- Maintain a consistent technical writing style and terminology across documents.
- Perform data entry and document organization to support project timelines.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong attention to detail (technical writing skills a plus).
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with food science, ingredients, and nutraceutical terminology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and accuracy in data entry.
- Current student or graduate in a Food Science program (preferred).
- Prior experience with specification sheets, technical documentation, or food science coursework (preferred).
Work Schedule
- Part-time: Monday – Friday
- Flexible schedule (approximately 20–25 hours per week)
- No overtime requirements
Compensation
- $17.00 - 19.00 hourly (DOE)
- Flexible schedule, no overtime requirements.
