Overview
Montech Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Senior Analyst SSO (FDG) - Fires Division (Staff Synchronization Officer), a key personnel position within the Force Development Fires Division (FDG). The Senior Analyst SSO (FDG) is responsible for ensuring that Army force development requirements and modernization plans are achievable for Fires efforts, which include Joint Theater Air and Missile Defense (JTAMD), Directed Energy, Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS), Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD), artillery launchers, missiles, and cannons.
Place of Performance
The Senior Analyst SSO (FDG) shall perform duties on site at a designated government facility in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Hours of Operation
The Senior Analyst SSO (FDG) will have an eight-hour workday, totaling a 40-hour week between the hours of 0700 through 1800, Monday - Friday except Federal holidays.
Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst SSO (FDG) provides direct support to the Army Air and Missile Defense or Army Fire Support units, programs, CONOPS, and capabilities (e.g., Long Range Artillery, BMDS/Directed Energy, SHORAD, Cannon Artillery, Strategic Fires). Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Long Range Artillery
Review all topic briefings for long range artillery equities and draft EXSUMs/EOW notes when needed.In coordination with division leadership, develop and coordinate Long range artillery Facer pages and prep books for G8/FD/DOM.Work issues; develop options, IPs and briefs; and track to completion Long range artillery AROC/JROC due outs.Respond to RFIs to address specific questions related to PrSM, GMLRS, Fire Support A/PNT, HIMARS, RRPR/JR3, and MLRS focused on program cost/schedule/capabilities, operational impacts, congressional testimony/marks/issues, life cycle support, sustainment and force development/modernization.Attend AO/O-6 work groups/meetings to identify issues, develop mitigation options; develop IPs and briefs, and provide SME expertise for assigned programs.Provide SME expertise during HAC-D, SAC-D, HASC, and SASC Army Program Budget Briefs (APBBs) for assigned programs.Assist Division Chief with developing Australia-UK-US (AUKUS) related IPs and briefings.Review documents for assigned programs to validate accuracy, identify FD equities and provide recommendation to division leadership via email, notation in TMT. Develop hard copy packets with IP or white tail, as needed.For assigned programs, update databases for COMPO Splits and LIN Quantity adjustments on a periodic basis.Support Presidential Drawdown IPs, assessments and options.Attend meetings with G8/FD/DOM/Div Chief and provide SME and respond to RFIs for assigned programs.Support POM actions for all assigned programs (attend AO/O6 WGs, develop/update/review program slides/IPs, identify issues and develop mitigation options, brief division leadership, provide options on all issues).Support SPAR actions for all assigned programs to address critical capability and capacity gaps beyond the FYDP to enable long range force development and modernization (attend AO/O6 WGs, help identify key operational and programmatic issues and provide SME support to develop/update SPAR IP/slides).Support special projects at the discretion of the Division Chief (that may or may not be related to assigned programs) - hold AO level WGs, develop and brief IPs and slides, participate in Senior Leader follow on session.Provide backup Strategic Fires expertise if the primary is not available.
BMDS/Directed Energy
Attend IAMD WG and P FCB meetings (that have G8 and/or Fires equities).In coordination with G8 FDJ, G3 DAMO Fires, ASA(ALT) and PM synchronize the Army position on JROC topics with G8 and Fires Equities.Review all topic briefings for BMDS/DE equities and draft EXSUMs/EOW notes when needed.In coordination with division leadership, develop and coordinate BMDS/DE Facer pages and prep books for G8/FD/DOM.Work issues; develop options, IPs and briefs; and track to completion BMDS/DE AROC/JROC due outs.Respond to RFIs to address specific questions related to THAAD, TPY-2, IFPC HEL, IFPC HPM, DE M-SHORAD, P-HEL, AMP HEL focused on program cost/schedule/capabilities, operational impacts, congressional testimony/marks/issues, life cycle support, sustainment and force development/modernization.Provide SME expertise during HAC-D, SAC-D, HASC, and SASC Army Program Budget Briefs (APBBs) for assigned programs.Support special projects at the discretion of the Division Chief (that may or may not be related to assigned programs) - hold AO level WGs, develop and brief IPs and slides, participate in Senior Leader follow on sessions.Attend AO/O-6 work groups/meetings to identify issues, develop mitigation options; develop IPs and briefs, and provide SME expertise for assigned programs.Review documents for assigned programs to validate accuracy, identify FD equities and provide recommendation to division leadership via email, notation in TMT. Represent FDG Hardware Division equities at the weekly AO RISM meeting.Track / provide status updates on division requirement documents in staffing.Update / track division requirement documents and trigger on the RISM COP for AROC calendaring.Track / provide status updates to AROCM Due Outs and Tasks.Track JROC Calendar in KMDS with focus on AIAMD WG and P FCB.Support special projects at the discretion of the Division Chief (that may or may not be related to assigned programs) - hold AO level WGs, develop and brief IPs and slides, participate in Senior Leader follow on sessions.For assigned programs, update databases for COMPO Splits and LIN Quantity adjustments on a periodic basis.Review all topic briefings for SHORAD equities and draft EXSUMs/EOW notes when needed.In coordination with division leadership, develop and coordinate SHORAD Facer pages and prep books for G8/FD/DOM.Support issues; develop options, IPs and briefs; and track to completion SHORAD AROC/JROC due out.Respond to RFIs to address specific questions related to Avenger, Sentinel, Stinger focused on program cost/schedule/capabilities, operational impacts, congressional testimony/marks/issues, life cycle support, sustainment and force development/modernization.Provide SME expertise during HAC-D, SAC-D, HASC, and SASC Army Program Budget Briefs (APBBs) for assigned programs.Attend AO/O-6 work groups/meetings to identify issues, develop mitigation options; develop IPs and briefs, and provide SME expertise for assigned programs.Review documents for assigned programs to validate accuracy, identify FD equities and provide recommendation to division leadership via email, notation in TMT. Qualifications
The Senior Analyst SSO (FDG) shall possess a minimum of a Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a directly related career field from an accredited college, such as Business or Engineering. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of four years of experience and expertise in Force Development or related duties. Additional qualifications for the Senior Analyst SSO (FDG) include:
Must have doctrinal, operational, and technical expertise with Army Air and Missile Defense or Army Fire Support units, programs, concepts of operations (CONOPS), and capabilities.Must possess the staff skills necessary to conduct reviews and analyses of JCIDS documents related to various oversight councils and boards, such as the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) and the Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC). Will be responsible for preparing leadership in advance of these venues and providing relevant analysis, including the recommended DCS G-8 position on proposed requirements.Must understand the processes and procedures outlined in DOD Instruction 5000.2, which pertains to the operation of the Defense Acquisition System. Must also possess the staff skills needed to conduct reviews and analyses of acquisition documents.Required to extract and analyze data from various databases and collaborative programs used within the DCS G-8 Army Resource Cloud (ARC). This includes systems like the Army Equipping Enterprise System Modern (AE2S-M) and its key modules. Analyst should also be familiar with and able to extract relevant information from websites like the Cloud Equipping Program (cQUIP) and the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP).Must have the knowledge and skills identified in the previous sections, in addition to those required for the successful performance of specific tasks within the Directorate of Materiel (DOM). This includes providing analysis, reviews, and options in support of validation, prioritization, and approval of future warfighter requirements, as well as supporting the development of investment and resourcing options for Army and Joint programs. The analyst is also responsible for planning, programming, and budgeting for programs in accordance with Army decisions and supporting the overall Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR) and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) build.

Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass the pre-employment drug test and background check/security investigation per required level with the U.S. Government agency. The Senior Analyst SSO (FDG) will have a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance.
