Housekeeper
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the facility is clean for its patients, staff and visitors.
REPORTS TO:. Facilities Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
·A high school diploma or GED
·1-2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital or inpatient facility
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
·Wash windows, walls, floors, beds, furniture upon patient discharge.Applies clean linen on disinfected patient bed.
·Report any furniture, fixtures, building, equipment repairs required to Housekeeping Supervisor.
·Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
·Use and maintain equipment properly
·Report safety hazards as appropriate.
·Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
