Responsible for server setup and maintenance, installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software\hardware related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, configures, and creates interfaces and integrations between multiple applications and software solutions. May have software licensing responsibilities. Ability to interpret vendor/manufacturer product instructions and/or release notes and install new server software, patches; performs server installations and performs system backups and restores. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
EDUCATION: BS in Information Technology or 4-year related degree; or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in systems administration
