In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our machining operations, ensuring every part meets the highest standards of quality and performance. What You Will Do:
- Set up and configure CNC machines for each job order, ensuring proper tool and bar stock loading.
- Adjust programs and tooling to meet exact specifications.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Operate CNC machines efficiently and safely.
- Perform tooling changes and offset adjustments as needed.
- Accurately input part counts and job transactions.
- Verify part accuracy using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
- Load bar stock and tubing; maintain coolant levels.
- Deburr finished parts and ensure clean finishes.
- Complete production paperwork and ensure quality compliance.
- Create and maintain SOPs for machining setups, tooling, and processes.
- Performs regular daily maintenance on equipment and keeps work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Complying with safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment
- Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1
We seek applicants with these critical skills and experience:
- Certification from a CNC machining technology program or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years with CNC training certificate or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of G-code and CAM software; Mastercam experience preferred.
- Understanding of Haas lathe.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
- Strong understanding of machine controls and configurations.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Reliable attendance and team-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable with geometry, trigonometry, and applied machining math.
- Willingness to cross-train and continuously learn.
- Physically able to stand for 8–10 hours and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and align with QA1’s values
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
