Job Description: Weld Mapper
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-exempt position

Reports to: Regional Superintendent
Job Purpose: To keep accurate records of weld counts and what is welded to ensure the daily progress is on target for each project.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate welding with Superintendent and site inspectors
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
- Keep a count of welds and what is welded by various welders
- Utilize computer software Blue Beam or Auto CAD to weld map projects
- Coordinate with X-ray companies for x-ray of welds
- Coordinate with x-ray auditors
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience required. Field experience and knowledge of pipeline construction. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Knowledge of or ability to learn Blue Beam and/or Auto CAD software’s. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service orientation. Attention to detail, initiative, and reliability. Skill balancing the needs of the customer, the needs of employees, and the needs of the company and the ability to coordinate many open issues at once. Excellent supervisory skills and the ability to motivate others.

The work is performed outdoors on the jobsite where the employee will be exposed to extreme heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment can be extreme on the jobsite.
Work Hours: Work hours are generally a regular work week of 40 hours; however, exact hours to work each day may vary as required.
Compensation details: 1-18 Hourly Wage
