Under the general supervision of the Manager of the unit, the Resource Coordinator is responsible for facilitating, coordinating in conjunction with health care teams, staffing, supplies/equipment, and patient flow/scheduling as a charge agent. Develop, motivate, assess, and negotiate as a charge agent in an effort to enhance organizational effectiveness. Utilizes the nursing process to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients based on current standards of practice. Functions within the permissible scope of nursing practice as defined by the Georgia Board of Nursing and St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System policies and procedures.

- Participates in service planning and development using knowledge of industry trends. Takes administrative call. Supports change initiatives. Keeps manager informed of department activities. Takes administrative call.
- Takes initiative to review unit/departmental customer or co-worker satisfaction scores as posted in unit. Promotes measures to improve customer/coworker satisfaction scores. Consistently demonstrates behaviors that promote excellent patient experiences.
