Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) – Brink & White
We are seeking an enthusiastic Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care to join our amazing team! EFDAs should be well organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric environment. Prior experience is preferred. Candidates must hold an active EFDA license in the state of Tennessee and possess current certifications in radiology, nitrous oxide monitoring, and coronal polishing.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including treatment under general anesthesia.
- Perform EFDA-permitted expanded functions, including:
- Placing, finishing, and polishing restorations.
- Performing sealant application.
- Taking impressions and fabricating provisional crowns.
- Take, expose, and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic, etc.).
- Provide hygiene and diet education to patients and families.
- Conduct parent consultations and discuss treatment plans.
- Set up and turn over treatment rooms.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards in compliance with OSHA.
- Complete lab work as needed.
- Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization areas.
- Draft and send referral letters.
