The PMA Boston team consists of more than 60 professionals dedicated to providing exceptional service in owner’s project management, project controls, scheduling, risk management, and claims avoidance across a variety of industries. With a newly renovated office located just south of Boston in Braintree, PMA Boston works with clients across the New England area and beyond.
PMA, an ENR top 40 CM consulting firm, may have upcoming internships/co-ops and entry-level engineering positions in our offices. When an opening becomes available, we will match those in our applicant pool with available opportunities.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Support the Owner’s Project Management (OPM) team in overseeing the planning, design, and construction of educational facilities.
- Assist with documentation, meeting coordination, and communication between school administrators, architects, and contractors.
- Participate in site visits, project meetings, and help monitor schedules, budgets, and compliance with educational building standards.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions.
- Joins architectural discussions and observes decision-making processes.
- Collaborates with QA to reproduce and log bugs.
- Joins code reviews to learn good code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Learns version control tools (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes to the codebase.
- Supports the writing of clean, efficient, and maintainable code under the guidance of senior team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge typically acquired while completing Bachelors-level studies in engineering, construction management, or related disciplines is required.
- Prior internship experience within an engineering or construction management firm
- A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to the office and/or client site is required.
- Experience with Rhino, Adobe Premiere Pro, Google Sketchup, and Procore desirable
Location and Commitments
- Overtime work may be required occasionally to ensure certain deliverables are completed on time
- Weekend work is rare but occasionally may be necessary
