Job Description:
The Diagnostic Radiology Supervisor develops and monitors department specific systems in coordination of activities which are directed towards quality improvement patient care in the department. Performs wide range radiology procedures on patients of varying ages, coordinates all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patient is in department for procedures. Assists with preparation and maintains department budget. Supervises assigned technologists.
Required Skills:
1. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
2. Effective oral and written communication skills.
3. Ability to efficiently organize time to accomplish department's goals.
4. Knowledgeable of radiology department policies and procedures.
5. Proficient in use/knowledge of Hospital computer systems.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
Four years of experience as a Radiology Technologist; hospital setting preferred. Two years of supervisory experience required.
License/Registration/Certification:
MRT, Texas Certified Medical Radiological Technologist required
ARRT (R) required. Any additional one BD, M, CT, S, QM or N preferred.
CPR certified.
Education and Training:
Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences from an accredited school of Radiology.
