About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator Trainee to join our team. In this entry-level position, you will receive hands-on training to operate various machines and support production processes while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
What you'll do
- Assist in the operation of machinery in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor machine operations and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Participate in training sessions to learn about equipment, safety protocols, and production techniques.
- Help perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Document production activities and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
Physical Requirement
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity to lift and move heavy objects (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]) safely.
- Manual dexterity and coordination for operating machinery.
- Vision and hearing abilities adequate to monitor equipment and ensure safety.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing facility with a focus on safety and teamwork.
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required.
- Shift work may be required, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and machinery operation (preferred).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus but not required.
