Job Title: Rooming Assistant
Department: Beacon Medical Group
Reports To: Practice Manager (with direction from Clinical or Office Supervisors/Coordinators)
Position Summary
As a Rooming Assistant at Beacon Medical Group, you are a vital part of the clinical care team—responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient patient visits. You’ll greet and room patients, collect and enter clinical data, and support both clinical and administrative workflows. Your work helps deliver outstanding care in a compassionate, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Flow & Clinical Support

Welcome and escort patients to exam rooms in a courteous, efficient manner.

Take and record vital signs, body measurements, and relevant health history.

Prepare patients for exams and assist providers as needed.

Clean and restock exam rooms, ensuring infection control protocols are followed.

Preload and update patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Clerical & Administrative Duties

Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.

Answer phones, take accurate messages, and provide general front-desk support.

Maintain accurate and organized patient records and charts.
Team & Departmental Support

Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to manage daily patient flow.

Participate in required meetings, training, and ongoing education.

Support the department with additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred; must be at least 17 years old.

Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience preferred.

BLS (CPR) certification is required for direct patient care.

Experience in a medical office and Spanish language skills are a plus.
