Nasittuq Corporation (from the Inuktitut word meaning “looking out from the highest point”) operates and maintains the North Warning System (NWS), a critical joint Canada-US radar network with 47 sites across Northern Canada.

- Negotiates and maintains lease agreements as required for Nasittuq personnel.
- The Contracts Manager performs other duties assigned by higher authority which are unplanned or transient in nature.
STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Requires a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related filed (business, law, engineering or science or a technology diploma) or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: Have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in contracts management with at least five (5) years as a Contracts Manager. Negotiation experience and experience dealing with high level government individuals, senior management, and employees.
KNOWLEDGE OF: Contract Law principles and Government of Canada contracting policies. Negotiation skills and decision-making skills are needed.
COMPETENCIES / SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Negotiation, decision-making and dispute resolution skills are necessary along with the ability to assess contractual compliance. Must be competent in MS Office software applications and must be able to analyze and interpret financial data. Solid written and verbal communication skills are required.
WORKING CONDITIONS / TRAVEL: Work is normally carried out in a regular office environment. Visits to North Bay where work is carried out in a restricted office environment, as well as to Arctic site locations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Significant experience and knowledge in the operation and maintenance of large-scale industrial or military projects considered an asset.
