Position Summary:
COTA/OTA provides occupational therapy as deemed necessary by evaluation, meeting the needs of client goals. COTA/OTA assists the Occupational Therapist (OT) in patient screening, assessment, and evaluation process. Duties include implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans, ongoing patient care and ongoing assessment as determined by the supervising OT. COTA/OTA will carry out all duties, tasks and assignments in a confidential, competent, and professional manner within established deadlines, in compliance with all legal and Company requirements, under the direct supervision of an OT.
Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) Qualifications:
- Graduation from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Mexico
- Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend IFSP, IEP, and team conferences as assigned
- Participate in professional development and company committees
- Represent ATI in community outreach and events
- Adapt to various service delivery settings including homes, clinics, and community environments.
- Travel within the assigned county of service to complete family visits.
