What You’ll Do as General Manager at Willamette Valley Vineyards:
- Lead the Guest Experience: Oversee daily operations across the Tasting Room, Wine Club, Hospitality, and Kitchen—ensuring every visitor enjoys a warm, seamless, and unforgettable experience.
- Shape a Destination: Help elevate our winery into a premier global wine and culinary travel destination by crafting immersive experiences, offering top-tier hospitality, and delivering meaningful education about Oregon wine.
- Champion the Customer Voice: Foster a guest-first culture by actively listening to feedback and continuously enhancing the customer journey.
- Grow and Nurture Our Wine Club: Expand our Wine Club by focusing on compelling offerings, unique benefits, and outstanding member satisfaction.
- Celebrate Ownership: Inspire wine enthusiasts to become Winery Owners and create unforgettable moments that honor and reward their investment.
- Empower and Guide the Team: Provide hands-on leadership to Tasting Room Leads, offering mentorship, training, and support—while stepping in when needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Drive Team Engagement: Lead weekly team meetings, manage scheduling (via Homebase), oversee payroll approval, and develop clear, growth-oriented work plans and annual performance reviews.
- Ignite Local Buzz: Craft and execute impactful local marketing strategies—build community relationships, boost visibility through social media, and elevate the Willamette Valley Vineyards brand in regional outlets.
- Steer the Business: Develop and manage the annual budget, track performance, and ensure financial goals are met through strategic planning and cost management.
- Keep Score & Stay Transparent: Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, keeping performance visible and aligned with organizational goals through regular dashboards shared with the CFO and CEO.
- Protect the Brand: Ensure the property is always clean, orderly, and visually stunning—taking swift action on any maintenance or repair needs.
- Oversee Spending Wisely: Approve invoices within spending limits, submit purchase orders for approval, and ensure responsible use of resources.
- Uphold Excellence: Enforce company policies and procedures with integrity and professionalism.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with other department leaders to drive profitability and bring the Willamette Valley Vineyards mission and vision to life.
- Champion Sustainability: Recommend and implement environmentally friendly practices that enhance our commitment to sustainability and stewardship.
- Adapt and Excel: Embrace new challenges and take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO.
