Summary
While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital, this position is responsible for coordinating, directing, and providing services under the Sterile Processing Department as well as independently making decisions related to those services in accordance with established standards. Collaborates with physicians and other health team members to achieve desired outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of one of the following:
- Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
- Meets of one of the following:
- Active certification as a Central Service Technician or Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
- Attainment of certification as a Central Service Technician or Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician within 18 months of hire.
- Employment by a health care facility as a Sterile Processing Technician or Central Services Technician prior to December 28, 2020.
- Five years of operating room or sterile processing experience.
- Knowledge of sterilization process and surgical procedure requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in a related healthcare field.
