BL101 began as an Instagram account started by a baseball obsessed teenager on his couch that started a community and has grown into something bigger than he ever could've imagined.
Today, Baseball Lifestyle has over 200 employees, retail locations in malls and tournament complexes, and can be found in various sporting goods stores around the country, like Dick's Sporting Goods, Scheels, and Academy. The community built at BL101 has grown with the company's success and the mission to grow the love of baseball stands true every day.
The journey at Baseball Lifestyle has brought our brand around the country to some of the biggest venues has to offer, and we will continue to spread our love of baseball and our brand to not just baseball fans, but everyone that is looking for the best off-field apparel the industry has to offer.
About the role
- The Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting the marketing team with administrative tasks such as scheduling and organizing, conducting thorough market research, and aiding in content creation across various platforms. They assist in coordinating marketing campaigns, managing digital marketing efforts like social media and website updates, and contribute to event planning. Their responsibilities also include analyzing campaign performance data, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations to meet marketing objectives efficiently.
What you'll do
- Identify key influencers in the space for approval from the Director of Social Media
- Stay up to date with new Shopify apps and complete initial demos with app sales teams to determine good potential fits
- Find brands that fit similar goals to Baseball Lifestyle 101 for potential partnership opportunities
- Use Attentive to schedule campaigns (7+ per week)
- Light copywriting for email campaigns
- Work with Junior Graphic Designer to have email graphics created
- Send test emails and schedule campaigns to approve parties
- Write and schedule SMS campaigns
- Ensure proper UTM campaign parameters for all campaigns
- Update hero banners for sales and new product launches
- Basic SEO for Product Pages and Collection Pages
- Work with Junior Graphic Designer to have lookbooks created for major product launches and campaigns. Add these lookbooks to the blog as needed
- Manage content calendar and work with content writers to complete blogs to be optimized for search
- Manage Tapcart updates: Push notifications and hero banner updates
- Collect and organize user generated content
- Set up whitelisting access with influencers
- Work with operations team to send out influencer packages
- Reply to comments and mentions on Instagram and Facebook
- Light note taking in marketing meetings
- Reporting on Okendo Surveys (weekly)
- Manage Airtable boards to ensure all graphic needs are requested and created
- Work with graphics team to order print materials
- Report weekly on email analytics, Tapcart analytics, and social media analytics (all channels)
Qualifications
- 2+ years of marketing experience, preferred
- Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- G-Suite
- Ability to adapt to changing strategies quickly
- Must be positive, highly professional, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work proactively in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Shopify, Attentive (or comparable ESP such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign), Tapcart, Okendo, Asana (or comparable), Airtable (or comparable), Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Shops, preferred
