-The Lead Case Manager plays a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing the provision of comprehensive case
management services to children in care and their families/sponsors. The Lead Case Manager will lead a team of case
managers, case aides and in some instances an Assistant Lead Case Manager. This position will provide guidance,
support, and supervision to ensure the delivery of high-quality case management services. The Lead Case Manager's
responsibilities will include assessing children needs, developing individualized service plans, coordinating resources,
child advocacy, and monitoring progress towards reunification or program discharge. Additionally, the Lead Case
Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate access to necessary services and promote
positive outcomes for children in care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Case Management Operations:
o Coordinate case management activities, ensuring safe and timely child release.
o Supervise both internal and external case management staff.
o Train and oversee case managers to comply with ORR standards, supporting child intake
and discharge processes.
o Maintain documentation according to VisionQuest, State, and Federal standards, checking
for accuracy before submission.
o Handle a small number of complex cases directly; assist in case closure as needed.
● Communication and Coordination:
o Maintain ongoing communication with ORR for quick child release.
o Serve as the main contact for ORR inquiries related to case management.
o Keep regular communication with external parties such as case coordinators, child
attorneys, and advocates.
o Organize "Know Your Rights" presentations with pro bono attorneys.
o Manage initial placements and transfer requests, including reviewing child transfer
referrals.
● Logistics and Travel Arrangements:
o Arrange necessary travel for staff for child reunification or transfers, including booking
flights, hotels, and cars.
o Ensure case managers organize prompt travel for children being released.
● Compliance:
o Oversee departmental compliance with regulations.
o Generate and submit case management reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
o Maintain a daily updated case status list to track progress.
o Document all case management actions and communications as required by ORR.
o Conduct monthly audits and additional monitoring according to policies and ORR UC
Portal requirements.
● Leadership and Workforce Development:
o Build a positive culture emphasizing growth, teamwork, collaboration, and
trauma-informed care.
o Train, supervise, and evaluate team performance to maximize effectiveness.
o Coordinate and oversee ongoing staff training to meet state and federal requirements.
o Collaborate with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director to address
performance issues through corrective action plans or disciplinary memos.
o Facilitate and organize case staffing or treatment team meetings, ensuring appropriate
attendance.
o Ensure participation in all departmental and program meetings for up-to-date information
and adherence to policy changes.
o Enhance communication and coordination with management team members, leadership,
and corporate personnel for overall success.
o Commit to personal growth and development as a leader, setting an example through
self-awareness and skill enhancement.
o Handle after-hours on-call responsibilities and conduct unannounced visits to motivate
and support the team in service integration and program improvements.
● Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
● Master's degree in behavioral services, human services, or social service field or;
● A bachelor's degree and at least 3 years progressive employment experience that demonstrates
supervisory and case management experience.
● ORR Case Management experience is highly preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Must be 21 years of age or older.
● Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
● Flexible schedule (evening, weekends, holidays) to facilitate program services.
● Cleared tuberculosis test results.
● Must be able to pass a drug test.
● Must be able to provide proof of required vaccinations.
● Cleared background checks from appropriate entities, including Child Abuse and Neglect and FBI
criminal background.
● Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
● Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds
infrequently.
● Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50%of the day.
● May bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary.
● Must be able to provide First Aid and CPR.
● Must be able to perform physical holds as instructed in Crisis Prevention Intervention training
(CPI).
The pay range for this role is:70,747 - 70,747 USD per year(885 Grace Dix Village)
