Job Description: Job Summary
The Director of Product Marketing – K-12 Education drives marketing strategy and execution for the College’s K-12 initiatives, including a network of charter and private classical schools, curriculum products, and professional development programs for educators. The Director will develop integrated campaigns that strengthen awareness, drive adoption, and build long-term engagement with K-12 educators, parents, and school leaders.
Essential Job Functions
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and execute go-to-market strategies that expand awareness and adoption of Hillsdale’s K–12 programs and resources, positioning them as core drivers of the College’s mission and leadership in classical education.
- Audience Growth & Engagement: Lead integrated campaigns that broaden reach with teachers, school leaders and parents; expand partnerships with charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling families.
- Storytelling & Content: Oversee creation of compelling narratives across print, digital, video, and social channels that highlight student outcomes, teacher success, and parent engagement
- Consumer Journey Mapping: Design and optimize marketing strategies around the educator and parent decision-making journey, ensuring seamless touchpoints from awareness through adoption.
- Research & Insights: Plan market research and audience analysis to identify needs, refine positioning, and uncover growth opportunities. Leverage surveys, interviews, and data analytics to inform strategies.
- Program Collaboration: Partner with K–12 program leaders to launch new initiatives, conferences, and teacher training opportunities with maximum visibility and impact.
- Hillsdale Academy Marketing: Lead marketing for Hillsdale Academy to drive enrollment, parent engagement, and local community presence, while positioning it as a model of classical education excellence.
- Performance & Resource Management: Manage budgets, vendors, and agencies effectively. Track and report on campaign ROI and optimize resources for maximum reach.

Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years of marketing experience; preferably in an education-related industry.

- Strong foundation in product marketing strategy, campaign planning, and digital marketing
- Exceptional communication, writing, and storytelling abilities, with demonstrated success in developing compelling campaigns
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments, manage multiple priorities, and lead complex projects
- Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation platforms, audience-building tools, and campaign management systems
- Skilled in analytics and reporting (Google Analytics GA4, dashboards, performance tracking) to measure impact and optimize growth
- Hands-on experience with email marketing and social media platforms for engagement and audience development
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and creative teams to ensure alignment of messaging and visuals
- Tech-savvy and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and digital trends relevant to K-12 education marketing
