Diakon Behavioral Health Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Mechanicsburg, Lewisburg, Montoursville, Williamsport, within several public-school buildings and Chester County. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addiction counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors.
General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing clinical services to individuals, couples, families, and groups in a co-occurring setting.
- Develops individualized treatment plan for each client per agency procedures.
- Provides a wide range of therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families and groups based on individualized assessment and treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team.
- Completes comprehensive psychological assessments on each client seen in keeping with professional standards of practice as well as DPW, DOH and other third party requirements.
Education/Training: A graduate degree from a college or university in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum; LMFT, LPC or LCSW preferred.
Experience: Post-Master’s supervised clinical experience preferred.
ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills
