Premier Community HealthCare is seeking a PRN Mobile Unit Driver to support our community outreach efforts! In this flexible role, you’ll help transport our mobile health unit to various locations, ensuring access to care for those in need.

The Mobile Dental Unit Driver is responsible for safely operating a specially equipped vehicle that serves as a mobile dental clinic, transporting dental staff and equipment to various locations to provide dental services to patients, while ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the unit between appointments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the mobile dental unit, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Navigate to scheduled locations according to a pre-determined schedule.
- Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in proper working order, including checking fluid levels, lights, and tires.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the mobile dental unit at each location, including positioning the unit, deploying equipment, and connecting utilities, as needed.
- Clean and sanitize the interior of the mobile dental unit after providing patient services, following established sanitation protocols.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the unit as needed, such as refilling cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Maintain maintenance log for the mobile dental unit and take unit for professional services (oil changes, repairs, inspections, etc.) as needed.
- Assist in stocking the unit with necessary dental supplies and equipment as requested.
- Report any incidents or concerns to the Program Manager.
- Collaborate with care team members to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery.
- Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Keep other care team members informed when situations occur that disrupt timely patient flow through site.
- Contribute to community give back initiatives and be an advocate for Premier’s mission
- Adhere to patient care needs and the core values of Premier Community HealthCare to provide best-in-class patient experience
- Work towards attaining department goals and drive Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA)

- Basic mechanical knowledge and able to perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CDL

One year of verifiable experience driving large vehicles with successfully passing a driving course that covers large mobile vehicle training
~OR~
Current employee with demonstrated high performance and reliability that has successfully completed a driving course that covers large mobile vehicle training.
- Must be licensed for at least 5 years and have an acceptable driving record as determined by Premier’s transportation policy and evidenced by monitoring of motor vehicle records. Failure to maintain a satisfactory driving record may result in termination of employment.
- Obtain and maintain annual compliance training throughout employment.
