Services Utility Technician-

Join the DiVal Safety Equipment team as a member of our fast-paced, well-trained, and dynamic team. The focus of this position is to test, maintain, and repair PPE, electrical gloves, gas detection equipment, and fall protection equipment while ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and professionalism. The ideal candidate has a technical aptitude, is enthusiastic, and has great communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Focus on safety at all times – safety training and direction must be adhered to - report any existing or potential safety concerns to management.
- Manage daily activities of the Repair Center including, inventory control, pulling and packaging of orders, preparing and sending quotes, communication with customers, sales professionals and customer care reps.
- Provide evaluation, estimates, and repairs to various makes and models of gas detection devices, fall protection equipment, hot sticks, electrical gloves, level A chemical suits, SCBA’s, and hand portable fire extinguishers.
- Operate electrical testing equipment in addition to visual inspection.
- Contact customers and/or Sales Reps to verify account information.
- Accurately complete all required reporting, order processing and customer invoicing.
- Assist customers to resolve issues or complaints, referring unsolved grievances to supervisor/management to ensure timely and effective service is provided.
- Complete daily workload within defined timelines set by management.

- Perform additional duties that may arise assigned by management.
Skills and Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal a MUST.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technician manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent trouble shooting skills.
- Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM, and AS400 (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills a must.
- Attention to detail a must.
- High School diploma / GED equivalent with 1-3 years prior customer service experience a plus.
