As an Engineer Intern with us you will assist in the research and development of medical devices from concept to manufacturing, including prototyping, 3D printing, CAD drawings, and protocol and report writing. Working minimal hours through the semester and full-time hours on breaks, you will quickly become a critical member of the team.

Essential Functions
(Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. - Must be able to use typical office equipment including, but not limited to, telephone, fax machine, copier, and computer.
- May be required to lift items up to 15 pounds in weight
- Must be able to work at a desk or table for an extended period of time
- Eligible candidates must be able to work on-site weekly in Columbia, SC.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Microsoft office programs
- Knowledge and skill in the use of 3D CAD programs including SolidWorks
- Ability to interpret end-use requirements without prior designs or precedent, ie, to be creative.
- Ability to provide regular updates on the status of projects
- Ability to focus on multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously
Education, Training and Experience:
- One year post-secondary academics in an engineering discipline
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
