Job Summary
The Associate Chief Medical Officer is a key member of the Administrative and the medical staff team, engaged in supporting the overall strategy and direction of the organization as well as supporting relevant quality initiatives and actively promoting high quality, cost effective medical care by leading interactions with the Organized Medical Staff, administrative leadership, and other management and staff. This position leads, in concert with the Chief Medical Officer, Organized Medical Staff and the administrative leadership team, for organization wide quality initiatives with physicians and clinical providers. Under the direction of the CMO, this position is responsible for appropriate clinical quality initiatives in the areas of infection control, patient safety, patient satisfaction, risk management, medical peer review and medical staff credentialing functions that support the provision of consistent clinical performance and facilitates and identifies quality performance and prioritization of improvement opportunities.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Work Experience:
Ten years of clinical experience required., Five years of experience in management or leadership roles requested.
License/Registration/Certification:
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
Education and Training:
MD or DO Degree in medicine from an accredited school.
Master’s of Business Administration, Master’s in Public Health, or Master’s of Healthcare Administration preferred.
