The Ethicist is responsible for addressing ethical issues related to clinical practice and healthcare delivery within our organization. Serves as the subject matter expert regarding ethics. Holds primary responsibility for contributing the ethics perspective to the development and review of PH policies and providing ethics education to healthcare staff. Champions a real-time, high quality, and multi-disciplinary ethics consultation service across the system. Excels in mediating difficult conversations, providing recommendations on complex ethical cases, and promoting ethical standards throughout our organization. Plays a crucial role in advocating for patients’ rights, considering cultural diversity, and respecting personal values while making decisions related to healthcare. Develops and sustains a robust, measurable quality monitoring system for ethics consultation.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited undergraduate university/college. Master’s degree or Doctorate in ethics, philosophy, education, law, social work, theology, or a related field is required.
