Stroke Program Analyst -RN

Position Summary: The Stroke Program Analyst is responsible for meeting all data requirements in accordance with DNV and GWTG. The analyst will monitor, trend and analyze stroke data in accordance with accreditation guidelines ensuring analysis identifies opportunities for performance improvement and evidence-based practice. The analyst will serve as a co-leader in the Stroke Committee working in interdisciplinary teams and providing insight from medical chart reviews. The Analyst will monitor and coordinate the efforts between the interdisciplinary team with a focus on ensuring compliance of corrective action plans. The Analyst will ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, accrediting and legal authorities pertaining to Medical Center’s Stroke program and provide both system-wide education and gap analysis when appropriate.
Qualifications: A. Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas required. B. Training and Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of acute care and/or stroke experience required. Must obtain Lean Six Sigma Green Belt within one year (1) of hire. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required, with familiarity in basic office equipment. C. Job Knowledge: Demonstrated statistical and analytical skills, knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and disease. Possesses ability to assess data reflective of the patient status and acuity. Should be familiar with hospital organization and be able to communicate effectively, professionally, verbally, and in writing.
