About the Position:
This position ensures the quality and accuracy of data in the Automated Reentry Management System (ARMS) within the program area. This person is the designated point of contact to reconcile entered data and services provided, audit data for accuracy and ensure that Length of Stay does not exceed the length of placement assessment (or extension). This position is responsible for the operational aspects of tracking and reconciling billing data and the policies and procedures associated with these activities.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure data security as outlined in the ARMS Data Sharing Agreement and fulfill duties and obligations with respect to the protection, use, and disclosure of protected health information.
- Accurate and timely entry of CBP service data into Sas Trak software.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, accuracy and security of all data maintained and submitted to CDCR.
- Cross train with data entry staff to ensure daily data entry in the circumstance of staff absence.
- Verify data accuracy as input by the community-based providers.
- Provide technical support helpdesk for Community Based Providers with respect to use of ARMS and data entry.
- Abide by policies and procedures outlining release of data, maintaining appropriate documentation of participant requests for information and signed Authorization for Release of Information.
- Maintain daily register of participant participation and weekly and monthly reports provided to CDCR.
- Maintain an accurate Community Based Provider (CBP) directory.
- Maintain and prepare the Utilization Report which accompanies the monthly invoice submitted to DRP Program Analyst.
- Ensure that technical and procedural best practices related to data security are upheld.
- Participate in annual training provided by CDCR Program area data unit.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Data entry experience is preferred.
- Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of substance abuse.
- Understand contractual parameters of STOP Data Entry.
- Understand an array of treatment models available to participants.
- Operational knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, and Access.
- Attention to detail, and ability to manage large amounts of data.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Understand and appropriately apply Amity policies and procedures and adhere to agency wide practices and regulations.
- Protect program participants’ health, safety, welfare, and confidentiality of records and participant information.
- Model professionalism, effective work habits and responsible living.
