If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as a full-time (40 hrs/wk) Individual Resiliency Trainer (IRT) – Community Outpatient Therapist with our NAVIGATE team.

What You Will Be Doing
As an Individual Resiliency Trainer – Community Outpatient Therapist with our NAVIGATE team, you will be responsible for performing face-to-face clinical interventions on a multidisciplinary treatment team. NAVIGATE is a comprehensive, evidence-based program that has been shown to improve the lives of individuals aged 15-35 who have experienced a first episode of psychosis within the past 18 months. Individual Resiliency Training “IRT” Clinicians provide specialized therapeutic interventions and follow a modular-based technique, helping individuals identify and enhance their strengths and resiliency factors, increase their illness management skills, and learn strategies to improve their success in achieving personal goals. The NAVIGATE team provides services in the community, home, and office settings, utilizing assertive outreach and motivational interviewing strategies to develop rapport and increase engagement.
In addition to supporting NAVIGATE clients, you may serve a small caseload of individuals served in the Adult Outpatient Program. This is a grant-funded position with funding currently through 09/30/2026.
What We Require
A master’s level licensed professional (LMSW/LLMSW, LPC/LLPC, or LLP) with a minimum of one year of community-based experience serving people with serious persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders and a desire to help people improve their mental health by providing team-based, person-centered care with a focus on recovery and community integration. A valid Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation is required as this position requires going into the community & includes providing transport for individuals served. Availability to work one evening per week.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.
Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer screen for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
