About Us
Cleo Robotics specializes in unconventional robotic systems equipped with cutting-edge sensing and intelligence in a tiny package to operate in dangerous and difficult to reach environments. Our customers span across various industries including Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Public Safety and Manufacturing.
We're a growing team of experts in robotics and autonomous systems with diverse backgrounds and skills. Our mission is to build safe drones that can operate where no other robot can for collecting critical data that can save lives and decrease costs.
If you get excited about solving big problems and building robots straight from science fiction, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role might be for you!
About the role
Drive the design, prototyping, and optimization of proprietary Dronut prototypes and their supporting software systems. Contribute across the full lifecycle of robotics systems, from design to production. Participate in developing a new software system architecture integrating Robot Operating System (ROS2) as an inter-process communication (IPC), enhancing debugging visibility. Optimize sensor payload and placement to enhance feature recognition across multiple simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms, improving sensor fusion and the state estimation produced by the Kalman filter. Design, detail, and construct pivotal components drones to facilitate scalable manufacturing. Engineer and program an autonomous aerodynamic test rig, integrating data collection and post-processing. Create detailed CAD models. Conduct Finite Element Analysis to evaluate aerodynamic stress and blade displacements. Assist in developing a comprehensive physical model for the drone"s control system, integrating aerodynamic principles and empirical data to enhance fine-tuning capabilities. Configure system OS software and automate flashing process of Cleo apps on the drone enhancing scalability. Fabricate and assess drone prototypes and initial production batches, iterating designs as needed. Assist in validating and enhancing the Cleo Android application using Android Studio, ensuring compliance with the MAVLink protocol. Develop detailed and scalable production work procedures while overseeing prototyping, lab equipment, and inventory management. Work with mechanical and software teams to ensure precision, manufacturability, and performance. Coordinate with suppliers and injection molders to finalize materials and part designs based on FEA analysis.
