Summary
Assumes 24-hour responsibility for overall operation of assigned area(s). Collaborates with the Director in the management of services within the department. Plans, organizes, directs, maintains, and evaluates patient care and unit activities within established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Communicates policies, procedures, and departmental and hospital information to staff, physicians, and customers. Maintains the integrity of the service to meet all accreditation and licensure requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a health-related field.
Current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
One to three years of progressive management experience.
Certification in applicable clinical specialty.
Master’s-level degree in nursing, business, or a health-related field.
