Job Summary:

Communicate relevant information to administration suggestions for creating a caring, consumer driven environment. When needed, planning and implementing of volunteer component to support the advocate program. Interpret the role of Patient Advocate to patients, staff and community.

Education:

Position requires a bachelor's degree or 3-5 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area. RN licensure preferred.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

Experience:

Position requires 3-5 years related experience. Customer/Patient PR experience preferred.

Other Requirements:
-
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Superior listening skills

Ability to function in stressful, hostile situations

Advanced Customer Service skills with a patient focus

Ability to establish a maintain effective working relationships with all hospital team members

Ability to identify trends/root cause of problems

Problem solving skills and persistence
