SEEKING NEUROSURGERY ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (PA or APN)
Overview:
Shore Physicians Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Professional (PA or APN) with Neurosurgery experience to join our growing, collaborative provider team. As a member of Shore Physicians Group Neurosurgery Team, you will play an integral role in providing comprehensive patient care in the outpatient, hospital and OR setting.
Job Summary:
- Conducts evaluations in the outpatient setting
- Performs in-hospital surgery consultations and patient rounds
- Serves as First Assist in surgical cases
- Coordinates care with physicians, imaging centers, and other specialties
- Orders and interprets diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies
- Manages prescription refills, prior authorizations
- Triages patient calls and electronic messages
- Finalizes discharge documentation, including summaries, prescribed medications, and specialist referrals, in the patient chart.
- Educates patients on required post-discharge care and follow-up

Requirements:
- Have, or ability to obtain, valid NJ State Board PA or APN license, CDS and DEA
- Flexibility to provide services in Somers Point, NJ and occasionally at nearby metropolitan location
- Patient clinical management skills
- Excellent communication skills including active listening, verbal and written communication
- Experience and comfort working with physicians one-on-one
Experience:
- Strongly prefer two years PA or APN Neurosurgical experience
