PURPOSE OF POSITION
The primary responsibility of the Campus Guides is to provide excellent customer service through activities such as wayfinding, parking enforcement, assisting customers in/out of vehicles, providing wheelchairs, and shuttle services. Campus Guides are considered the “front door” and may make the first and last impression on an Aultman customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Colleagues must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a dynamic customer base, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Ability to safely operate motor vehicles for extended periods of time, including operating a customer shuttle service.
- Ability to assist customers with directions to locations in and around the facility.
- Ability to assist customers in and out of vehicles, as well as in and out of wheelchairs.
- Ability to effectively enforce parking regulations.
- Ability to effectively enforce facility entrance and screening requirements.
- Prompt and regular attendance at assigned facility/area of assignment.
- Ability to work shifts of at least 8 - 10 hours, and occasionally longer.
- Ability to interact with patients, colleagues, and other occupants in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Ability to receive, understand, and implement direction from supervision and management.
- Ability to identify, report, and mitigate safety concerns and hazards as appropriate.
- Ability to effectively function within the framework of department and organizational policies and procedures, to include department specific dress code requirements.
- Ability to work in highly dynamic environments, including seasonal temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to conduct traffic control operations as appropriate.
- Ability to successfully complete ongoing department and organizational competency requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Safety.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with less than 4 points

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to handle a wide variety of circumstances and conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Varied locations and hours as required by the job (generally scheduled for 8 to 10-hour shifts).
- Weekdays, generally during business hours. No weekends or holidays.
- Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
- Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ADDENDUM
O = Occasionally = 0- 33% of the work shift or 0- 32 repetitions.
F = Frequently = 34-66% of the work shift or 32-200+ repetitions.
C = Constantly = 67-100% of the work shift or 200+ repetitions.
