$34.08 - $49.88 an hour - Full-Time Evenings, 40 hours per week
*Range includes evening differential. +$2.50/ hr for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead who coordinates the technical component of the clinical laboratory, pathology laboratory, or blood bank.

Qualifications
•Baccalaureate degree or higher in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science; or
•Baccalaureate degree or higher, including 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of biological science (with one semester in microbiology), 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of chemistry (with one semester in organic or biochemistry); or
•Have education equivalent to at least 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours), including 24 semester hours (36 quarter hours) of medical laboratory technology courses; or
•Have education equivalent to at least 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours), including 24 semester hours (36 quarter hours) of science courses that include 6 semester hours (9 quarter hours) of chemistry, 6 semester hours (9 quarter hours) of biology, and 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination; or
•Completion of a clinical laboratory training program.
•MT/MLS certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT), required.
•Minimum three years of experience in the clinical laboratory.
•Knowledge and experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
Responsibilities
•Performs all the responsibilities of bench technologist, including:
a) An appropriate turn around time for accurate test results.
b) Calling and documenting all critical values and STAT tests results.
c) Performing quality control to ensure accuracy of test system, and
d) Submitting appropriate abnormal results to the pathologist.
•Assign workload to staff as appropriate to provide quality patient care and notifies Supervisor or Manager of significant delays.
•Review, respond, and document all quality control data.
•Coordinate, perform, and document preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of all instruments.
•Facilitate communication, team building and motivate employees to provide quality patient focused service and enhance productivity.
•Consistently enforce policies and procedures. Ensure accurate dissemination of information.
•Inform the Supervisor or Manager of all inventory and supply needs in a timely manner to ensure patient focused quality care.
•In collaboration with the Supervisor or Manager, provide performance and competency feedback in a timely manner.
•Assist in employing quality individuals. Coordinate and participate in training of new employees and MT/MLT students.
•Maintain up-to-date procedure manuals to comply with all appropriate regulations. Evaluate new or modified procedures and techniques.
