Be the Backbone of Site Safety
As a Safety Manager, you’ll take ownership of site-specific safety programs, ensuring compliance, awareness, and excellence in execution. You’ll collaborate closely with field leadership, project teams, and the Corporate Safety Director to foster a culture of prevention and protection.
We’d Count on You To:
- Lead with presence - communicate proactively with field staff and project teams about safety goals and best practices
- Develop, implement, and lead safety training and toolbox talks tailored to project needs
- Create and maintain site-specific safety plans that are actionable, thorough, and responsive
- Conduct routine safety audits with a critical eye toward hazard recognition and continuous improvement
- Act as the go-to resource for OSHA/MIOSHA standards, trends, and legislative updates
- Respond calmly and effectively to incidents or near-misses, ensuring accurate reporting and timely resolutions
- Oversee subcontractor safety compliance and hold teams accountable to our standards
- Partner with leadership to evolve safety policy, processes, and awareness initiatives
What Experience You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of construction safety or field safety experience
- Expertise in OSHA/MIOSHA safety standards and field compliance (PPE, LOTO, confined space, fall protection, trenching, hot work, etc.)
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid required; CHST, OSHA 30/500 strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- you earn trust and get buy-in
- Ability to coach, train, and lead teams with confidence and empathy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with jobsite tech tools
- Assertive, organized, and self-motivated - you don't wait for safety to be questioned; you lead with answers
