We are seeking a Machine Maintenance Supervisor to lead a growing team of maintenance technicians in support of our production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical ability combined with leadership skills to ensure uptime, quality, and safety of our additive and post-processing equipment. This is a key role in building a reliable and scalable maintenance function.
Responsibilities:
·Team Leadership & Development
oSupervise a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts or work areas.
oProvide day-to-day direction, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of maintenance work orders.
oAssist in recruiting, training, and mentoring new maintenance team members.
oPromote a safety-first, quality-driven culture on the shop floor.
·Maintenance Execution
oLead troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control issues on additive manufacturing and support equipment.
oEnsure proper execution of preventive maintenance schedules and corrective actions.
oMaintain documentation of work performed, equipment logs, and parts usage.
oSupport calibration and maintenance of critical systems (e.g., gas handling, chillers, vacuum systems).
·Operational Support
oCoordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure efficient workflows.
oSupport installation and commissioning of new equipment as the factory grows.
oAssist in implementing and optimizing CMMS tools and work order systems.
·Continuous Improvement
oIdentify opportunities to improve maintenance practices, reduce unplanned downtime, and increase technician effectiveness.
oParticipate in root cause analysis (RCCA) activities and corrective action implementation.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial or aerospace manufacturing maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proven hands-on troubleshooting experience with manufacturing equipment, ideally in precision or additive manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable in a startup or fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with metal AM systems (e.g., EOS, SLM, GE Additive, Velo3D).
- Experience leading or mentoring small technical teams.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance documentation standards.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools.
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent trade school training.
