At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Perioperative Nurse Manager to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the Perioperative Nurse Manager is:
- Recognize the impact of reimbursement on revenue
- Optimize unit performance and patient outcomes. Identify key performance indicators. Establish data collection methodology. Evaluate performance data. Respond to outcome measurement findings
- Monitor and report sentinel events. Participate in root cause analysis. Promote evidence-based practices. Manage incident reporting.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all performance expectations of a SDS/PACU/OR registered nurse. Assist staff as needed in the day-to-day care of patients.
- Facilitate staff education and needs assessment. Ensure competency validation. Promote the professional development of staff. Facilitate leadership growth among staff. Identify and develop staff as part of succession planning
- Participate in professional associations including membership and involvement in an appropriate professional association that facilitates networking and professional development
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in the state of New Hampshire required.
- Three to five years of relevant clinical experience required
- BSN and/or MSN required
- Two to three years of leadership experience an asset
- ACLS, BLS, & PALS required upon hire
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred; required within 18 months of hire
Compensation:
Min: $87,526
Max: $123,323
