About the role
The Research Coordinator will be responsible for obtaining information for the client through the Freedom of Information Act.
What you"ll do
- Request FOIA"s for every case
- Investigate/Research via outbound calls and emails
- Coordinate with client coordinators to obtain fingerprints and signatures for FOIA requests.
- Prepare cover letters as needed, identify the information needed to submit a FOIA request.
- Coordinate with in-office administrative assistants to pay for FBI and State requests
- Manage email boxes to make sure record requests come back
- Review record requests once received to pull high level details to provide to the Paralegals.
Qualifications
- Impeccable attention to detail, and process-orientated with a focus on efficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and time manage themselves and others
- Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish English) B2-C1
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Legal background required, Attorney, Paralegal, etc.
Reliable computer with at least:
8-16GB RAM
256GB SSD
Core i5 / Ryzen 5 processor (2.0GHz or higher) recent model (2018 +)
Webcam / Good microphone and headset.
Minimum 25mbps Upload and Download network speed
Schedule available: Mon - Fri 9AM - 6PM EST
Pay rate $6/hr
