Rooms To Go is seeking a full time Staff Accountant to join our growing team!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a key member of the Financial Reporting Team
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, identification and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
- Analyze trended balance sheets and income statements
- Propose solutions to streamline the corporate close processes
- Participation and contribution to special reporting projects including system enhancements, process improvement, general ledger implementation, etc.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting
- Must have good oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, high level of integrity, ingenuity and initiative
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and flexibility to work hours needed to meet deadlines is critical for this position
- Must have a strong understanding of accrual and cash basis accounting concepts
- Previous experience working in Excel is necessary
- Must be able to work in a team, recognize problems and offer potential solutions
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
