Position Summary
The primary role of the Team Supervisor Compliance – Customs Brokerage position is to monitor daily operations within the team, ensure all daily e-mails are responded to timely and communicate with customers, carrier partners in the U.S. and Overseas, when necessary. The Team Supervisor Compliance – Customs Brokerage will need to have general knowledge on all aspects of Customs Brokerage, including classification, how the cross-border world works between the U.S. and Mexico/U.S. and Canada, its particularities, and challenges to successfully support customer-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, the Team Supervisor – Customs Brokerage is responsible for:
Auditing Customs Brokerage entries
Assisting CHB Manager with supervising a team of 10
Entering and clearing the entries on their own desk.
Training new CHB employees
Working closely with VP, Compliance to ensure team is filing entries correctly with CBP
Compliance with customs laws and regulations.
Interaction with US Customs as needed
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in Customs Brokerage Industry.
- Experience with Cargowise preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience (formal or informal).
- Strong understanding of U.S./Mexico and U.S./Canada border processes.
Education and Industry Knowledge
- Bachelor / associate degree in business preferred.
- LCB preferred but not required
- Experience in the Transportation or Logistics industry is an asset.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Work Schedule
- Full time schedule of minimum 8 hours per day with flexibility to complete all required job duties and responsibilities.
Work Environment
