RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Decontaminating and cleaning surgical instruments, medical devices, and equipment.
- Operating sterilization equipment such autoclaves to ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
- Clean and turn over rooms.
- Managing and maintaining an inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Rotating stock to ensure that items with expiration dates are used before they expire.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Following established protocols and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Performing routine maintenance on sterilization equipment and reporting any malfunctions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines related to sterile processing.
- Responding to emergency situations, such as instrument recalls or urgent sterilization needs.
